Some of MU Members are going off for the weekend on the Grand Devon Tour. Unfortunately its ticket only, and I understand all places full, so Alex has suggested an alternative for those that have missed the boat and still fancy doing Mini stuff this weekend. We were chatting about it at the Blackbrook meeting last night, and several people there were interested in this last-minute option.
Alex has volunteered to lead an informal run to the Cotwolds on Sunday. There are some terrific roads over the hills, and hopefully the locals will flock to the seaside instead. We will drop in to his Mum & Dad's in Cheltenham later for a cup of tea and homemade cake later on. Meet at our house in Woolavington at 10am on Sunday with a full tank of petrol. Suggested route; up the M5 towards Glouscester (takes about an hour), find a pub for lunch, and come back on the A38 through Bristol. Friends & family welcome.
(NB. Another topic in this section 'Mini Runs' - take a look because we've started putting some autumn dates to the ideas people have been coming up with)..

Thanks guys for volunteering to run an event. Unfortunately Calum and I are working so will pass on this one. We are trying to plan ahead to run a similar event where we can have a drive across the Somerset Levels and the Mendips and hopefully finish at our house in Blagdon (North Somerset NOT Taunton!) for a BBQ. Just got to pray for some decent weather. We are looking at Sunday 7th October at the moment. Anyone interested?
