OK. The Latest update.
Little Gizmos crew are leaving 10am on Saturday morning, so they can get up to the show early to start trade set up.
The rest of the Minis Unlimited campers are meeting at the J23 Dunball layby at 11.30am to leave at 11.45. Proposed route is now up the M5 to Cheltenham, across to Stow-on-the-Wold (this is the route we normally take to Whitney/Cornbury Park), A43 Brackley/Silverstone then up to Santa Pod near Northampton. The Drag Strip/MITP location is actually a couple of miles south of Rushden (about 3 o'clock position to Northampton). When traffic is good, it takes 2.5 hours.
Those coming on Sunday need to aim to get there by 9am because the show opens then and you may not be allowed to drive to the club stand.
Tickets: Suzy & Alex have display passes for Tigger in Reader's Cars section. Emma & Andy have trader passes for them plus Kev & Terry. Club tickets - Paul Huish (IOU), Ian Wyatt (paid), Graeme & Zoe (paid), Dave & Wendy (paid), Jamie (paid), Oli N-P (paid), Alex N-P (IOU). Dave can't go but his daughter Freya is taking his place. Mike Penny can't go. (club will give him £6 refund because we'll re-allocate the ticket). New members Nick & Lucy are having 2 of the spare tickets (IOU).
There is 1 spare ticket left @ the discount price of £6.

Suzy, I will try and ring you but hopefully you will pick this up. Do we really have to be on site by 8am!!!!!!
If so this will mean leaving home at some un-godly hour of the morning. I notice on earlier messages that 9am was mentioned. Can you clarify?

Forget my earlier message! I have just phoned the organisers who have confirmed that there will be vehicle movements allowed all day. The show starts at 9am so we will aim to be with you just before 9 that way we we can get up at a reasonable hour and not have to thrash the cars. See you there!

That's useful to know we can move about during the day. Its normally a no-no at shows. Cheers for finding that out Ray! I presume you've got the 2 car passes we've sent you?

Luckily the rain stayed away through the day, and the wind helped dry the field surface up, enough that we found it OK to drive back out. I was so chuffed having Tigger on display in front of Mini Mag, and it was great that Ian & Lydia were right next to us. Both cars got so much attention! I got a vert smart glass trophy at the end of the day for the Readers Award. No major mishaps on the wet journey home, except a few numpty drivers doing their best to drive into Tigger, Lydia & Tubbs at various stages along the way! Very slippery road surface. I managed to get the trailer sliding sideways at one point.

Wet on the way up... Lydia comes to a grinding halt near Stow-On-The-Wold and we stop at a BP garage. Terry gets his arse out to fix it, but not as much as the really grumpy petrol attendant who was highly unimpressed with us breaking down on his forecourt. Meanwhile Nick's car won't stop; the starter motor engaged and it kept running until the battery was disconnected. The offending clutch cable. The guys bodged it and it was fine for the rest of the trip. I would have taken a photo of Paul & Kev, but the lightweights took one look at the camping conditions and went and found a local hotel!Tigger & Lydia on display in front of the Mini Magazine stand. Ian's hangover look... The Bradleys arrive and paddle across the field. Ray does a good job of widening Callum's tyres. We all got wet feet. Ian's solution was to take his socks off and roast them dry on the barbeque. Interesting aroma...!
Emma got a wet bum; she perched on a tripod stool and when she got up had a perfect trianglar mark on her backside.Hmmmm muddy loveliness... This season's fashion for Tubbs'. The spoiler had a new sticker added "100% p*ss take". She got a LOT of stares and giggles. Me collecting Tigger's award from Editor Mark. No the camera is not out of focus, that's rain and spray on the way back home. Yuck!
