After removing the fly-wheel with a lump hammer ( due to the fly-wheel refusing to budge with a puller) I am trying to find another clutch housing. The engine is a 998cc, 1984 with a diaphram clutch. The part no is dam 5785. Distance is no object, I can buy, swap or px but I must have one soon. Thanx in advance for trying.

The actual bellhousing is identical, it is only the clutch arm and slave cylinder that is different between Verto and Diaphragm clutches, so anything you can get will fit and work.

I think you mean the flywheel housing, the part that the starter motor bolts onto. Why would you leave the flywheel housing in place if trying to remove the flywheel. Either way, any year Mini is basically the same for either part. You'll probably be needing a new crankshaft too if you've removed it with a lumphammer (or at least get it crack tested)!
