;D ;D He did it!! ;D ;D
George after melting on the side of the road on the M6 Toll has passed his MOT and is now up for a new owner.
George is a Jan 1983 registered Mini Mayfair with the looks of a Cooper. Hes bright red, white racing stripes, and has his signature hand-painted Union Jack roof.
He's done 107'000 miles, and has a 998cc standard engine, with sports coil, HT leads, and a dowty AeroFan. Engine is currently in the process of being fixed after a shot head gasket. He also boasts rarely seen Cobra Super Slot 10x6 alloys, and a rip-off Halfrauds exhaust chrome end. ;D
Interior luxuries include 4 seats from a 1993 mayfair (grey), original manure brown carpet, and sound insulation. The headlining is the sick-provocking spotty stuff, although I will include a replacment cream leather headlining set. Speedometer and dash is as original, with the exeption of a mounteny (spelling?) steering wheel.
Rust spots are appearing in numerous places and he could really use a propper take down and re-spray. Rust is included free of charge under the drivers side scuttle, both doors, driver side rear window, rear valance, bottom of boot door, and drivers footwell. There is surface rust on the roof seam, but not serious.
George drives considerably well and should be considered as a 998 screamer - will do a top speed of 85mph, and happily trundles along without any sign of drive train or wheel alignment being out. Breaks are quite sharp considering the all -round drum system.
After consideration, I am looking for around £600....and yes those infamous airhorns are included. ;D
