Does any one know where the nearest rolling road is ? I have just fitted a brand new carb and it needs adjustments as it's holding back when i accelerate. Any help would be welcomed. Claire

I've heard good things about Tipton Garage. A friend of mine popped in one Saturday morning and the Older chap (run by father and son I believe), spent quite some time adjusting the carbs on his kit car for no charge. This made quite an improvement apapretly. However, be aware that a rollong road session can be a costly option - perhaps in the region of £90 per hour? I'd have thought a mini specialist could ensure the timing is correct and the right needle is fitted and then adjust to get it running propely without using a rolling road? Regards, Allen PS - my 1300 A+ engine starts and runs fine but refuses to rev cleanly, but I'm hoping a change of plugs and plug leads will sort it - that's the current theory but we'll see

Tipton St John, just south of Ottery St Mary. Steven Miles runs the rolling road, and he does a really good job - his dad Richard knows a lot about Minis (used to work for the legendary Downton Engineering). Tel No:01404 812091

We use www.mechrepairs.co.uk for our race minis. Last time he done it we moved a 500bhp cossey 500 and a supercharged viper to get our mini in. On the other rolling road was Nick Masons Ferrari 250 gto, being set up having just had a £100,000.00 engine rebuild. He aint cheap but he is bloody good.

Mech Repairs is where I used to take all my cars, as it was a mile or so from home...
We also had a shootout there about 6 years ago, and unlike many, the road is pretty much accurate to a bhp or so.
