Mighty Mini for sale.
According to Rodger Tello (our Mighty Mini co-ordinator), this was a really quick car before I bought it.
It has the usual mods, plus large alloy radiator and alloy petrol tank in the centre of the boot. It comes with another set of alloy wheels - all eight tyres scrubbed. Bodywork and running gear are all fine.
However, I have no access to a trailer or tow car - nor somewhere to put a trailer, so it has been driven to and from the races I have done. This required road going suspension settings, and no wild driving (it had to drive home afterwards).
In spite of that, after Neil Slark refreshed the cylinder head in 2005, and I fitted a new timing chain, it posted some very respectable times - the cylinder head on these cars need to be kept in top condition. Of course, for racing, engines should be attended regularly, but mine does more miles per race meeting than the others do in a season.
With the cylinder head refreshed, the car could be competitive again - even more so if trailered to the track with racing suspension settings.
Alternatively, it could still be driven to it's races - giving a load of fun for a cheap outlay. The MOT runs to March 1st 2009.
With too many cars to look after, and a clogged driveway, I need to sell at least one of them. At the moment I am willing to take £3995 for it. Otherwise, I shall get the cylinder head refreshed before the Brands round (August 16th/17th) to get a good result. Then I can sell it for the usual £4500 they go for.
Any more info - Telephone: Tim 01823 660424 (sorry, don't know how to get pic onto this)
