We had a normal club meeting on Monday at the Blackbrook. The bar staff told us that the pub will be closed for at least 8 weeks, starting from 1st week in April. They are having a big refurbishment; altering the layout a bit, and repainting so its a bit brighter. This will affect our meetings on Monday 14th April, Monday 12th May and Monday 9th June One suggestion was to temporarily relocate to the O'Bridge / Brewers Fayre just over the viaduct bridge in Priorswood. We know they are Mini-friendly from when they helped host the charity run. Ought to check with them first.

We checked out the O'Bridge pub tonight. OK, we confess, we checked out the menu *burp*. The pub is fine about the club meeting up there. They advertise a pub quiz on Monday nights, but the bar manager confirmed that that is scrapped for the time being; no specific functions planned on those evenings. The meal was pretty good; I can see we'll all end up tucking into bowls of chips there... Directions: From the M5 J25 motorway roundabout; drive towards Taunton. Across the Hankridge roundabout, past the cinema/Hollywood Bowl, across the traffic lights at Creech Castle crossroads, past Mercedes & Audi garages and Asda. At the next roundabout near Wickes, turn right over the Viaduct bridge. You’ll see Honda, Citroen and Peugeot dealerships on your right. At the other end of the bridge is another roundabout; the O’Bridge/Brewers Fayre pub is on that roundabout opposite Peugeot.www.brewersfayre.co.uk/LocationFinder/detail.aspx?id=3490
