Over the spring & summer, our Blackbrook pub meetings were working well being alternated with treasure hunts & local drives. The dark nights are definately here, we could do with coming up with some other ideas to keep us occupied. If you have any good ideas, please note them down, and then we can 'volunteer' members to help organise them. E.g. Short drives to another pub. We haven't been Wellington, Blackdowns or Quantocks direction for a long while. We could do with someone planning a route and simply taking the lead in a convoy. There was mention of maybe sorting out a village hall to run the r/c Minis. Several people have got Tamiyas, and I'm sure we can find some spares so everyone can have a go. Christmas meal! How about we do somthing similar to last year (buffet & skittles in Bishops Hull), or maybe something different?

Last year Emma organised a do in a skittle alley with sausage & chips etc. I think she may have been approached last meeting to do the same again.

Yes, Emma did a great job of sorting that out last year. Good venue, simple well priced snacks, and we had a bit of a laugh at the skittles. Treasurer Paul has said he'd be happy for club funds to cover similar again this year. Emma I had a chat at the last meeting, but no dates were mentioned and we left it that we'd chat about it through the week. Unfortunately as some of you may know, Alex and I have had our house purchase/sale fall through later that week. Since then we have been up to our eyeballs sorting out solicitors, estate agents, storage units, boxes, re-hunting houses and unpacking everything we've already packed. Its taken all evenings and weekends, and quite honestly I am at the end of my tether and the Christmas MU function was that last thing on my mind. I'm sure our friends will sympathise with our rotten situation So I'm sorry but you will have to excuse this for the time being, and we may have to reschedule in January because a lot of folks will have family and work commitments so close to the holiday period.

ouch sorry to hear that Suzy I hope things get back on track soon Are you hoping to be at the meeting tomorrow night? If so we'll get cracking on a pub-visiting club member level for arranging xmas party... shouldn't take too much effort. See you tomorrow hopefully!
