We've had a letter from the organisers of the Malvern show. Malvern Mini Show, The Severn Hall, Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcestershire. Sunday 26th November from 10am-4pm £6 admission adults. Under 14's free. Trade stands, autojumble stalls, concours etc. www.classicshows.org/malvern_mini_09_06.htmThere are 16 club sites available inside the hall (first come first served) plus outside display grassed areas. Set up is either from 7am on the day, or 2pm-7pm the day before. If we were to book an inside space (3 or 4 cars), you get 2 free admission tickets free per car. We'll obviously chat about this at the next meeting, but would we like to book a club stand space? ;D

how far away is Malvern? Is it close enough to do a day trip (not too keen onthe idea of camping again )

Easily close enough to do in a day trip - it is J7ish of the M5.
As it is an indoor show, I doubt we will be camping (in November even slimmer chance !) and if at all like Stoneleigh there will be cheap accomodation available.
To do it all properly, we will need at least a small advance party on the Sat night to set up the Clubstand.

might be able to make it if eel has a bigger engine by then, i dont like the idea of my iccle 998cc on the motorway all the way to worcester tryin to keep up with dave etc - admittedly i dont know what the rest of you guys drive like, but if ur all mini nutters (like dave - and now me - apparently) then i'd better upgrade asap ;D

I've only got a very poorly 998 in Tubbs at the moment, but she seems to crack on rather well !
When was the last time EEL was serviced properly ?

"carriage not any kindness accordingly 2004 "
what the hells that supposed to mean dude??
and yes the ole 998cc doesnt hold up too well against a 1293 anywhere, let alone on the motorway. eel doesnt like doing anything more than a steady 70mph service? well maybe i should do one....i'll do one as soon as i get some time. i can put that better radiator on at the same time and get a fat metal fan ;D

Hopfully by then Sir bumpsalot will be repaired so less cyril driving, He needs the repairs soon and he just manages 70 on the motorway, even though he got to 76mph to taunton the other day. J, what you gonna do with the old eel engine... out of erm interest....

Back to the show - would you like me to book an indoor stand? Time is ticking, and the free places are limited.

We would be up for coming up on the Sunday, but wouldn't be able to come up Saturday night to help set up (cheap accomodation is not so cheap when there are 4 of you ) .

Sorry guys - we didn't end up booking a club stand. There was only possible/definate response from 3 or 4 people (with or without Minis) on this particular occasion, so rather than book the stand and either have it un-manned or not enough cars, I felt it was best to leave it on this occasion.
However we had a big crowd of us at the British Minis fair in January last year; how about booking one there (Jan 2007) instead? ;D

Do you have any more info, or a link about the British Minis Fair for those of us who weren't members last Jan?
