We have applied for a club stand at this show. We have asked for maximum number of free passes (12 car display passes and 12 admission passes). This can be followed up before the end of August with confirmation of any aditional admission tickets plus track passes. We can take advantage of pre booked club prices and then fairly spread the cost of admission plus track passes between members attending. I believe that pre-booked additional adult admission is £8, on-the-gate they are £10. There is a lunchtime parade lap, which I think is free (but you drive slow in a cruise convoy) and I'm asking for confirmation. They had about 250 cars take part in that last year. We have the option of purchasing the club track offer. 6 track passes for £90, valid from 9am to 11am (15 minutes per session), or after 4pm. That works out as £15 per track pass but you have to take it either very early or very late. The circuit is advertising on-the-day track passes as £30 this year, so if you want to rag your poor little Min out there we can help you save some money. If more than 6 members want to do this, additional pre-booked track passes are £20. So we need to confirm who wants to display on the club stand, additional tickets, and number of track passes to send the cheque off by end August. Cost of admission tickets (and track passes for those who want them) to be fairly shared between members as per notes above.www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/miniworldactionday.htm

Sara - no problems, will do. By the way, I'm pretty sure kids under 16 go free.

Folks wanting to come so far (in order of membership number): Suzy + track pass Mike Waterjohns Paul Huish + track pass Ian Brewer Alex Dave Bartlett Dave & Wendy Tom Bousfield Jamie Bousfield Mr Ben Matt + track pass Dave Sapp + track pass Mike Bond (x2) + track pass Oli + track pass Vicks Terry & Sara + track pass Paul Wishart (our new member with yellow Mini from MITP) Possibles: Dave Smart, Adam Dannan (x2), Steve Tubbs, Vicky Osbourne, Mike Penny, Andy Muff. Emma & Andy trading - or is 'Bump' due about then? So in summary, we have 19 definates wanting admission, and 7 pre-booked passes. That means we'll be purchasing 7x£8 additional admission tickets, plus 6xtrack passes at £15 each and 1xtrack pass at £20. So at the moment, when costs are shared, we'll be paying about £3 each admission, and £16 for a track pass ;D ANy more for any more?

As discussed with Suzy already - I have a friend coming down from the Derby area who is staying for the weekend who will be co-driving with me in Sir Drivesalot.
His name is Tom [username = tjenkos] (Mrs Oli for the weekend ahem ;D ) and is a familiar face on The Mini Forum.

Mrs Oli here ;D I shall be the co-driver, so keep clear of Oli's car as sudden braking may apply Ill keep the sat nav with me so that we can slow down for the speed cameras, and know which way to turn on the track Sounds like itll be a good day and a lot of travelling for me! Tom

LATEST NEWS! ;D
1. 27 admission tickets and 10 track passes have arrived! Some folks coughed up and collected on Monday night's meeting. Please contact me if you've yet to catch up.
2. Bring your autojumble along! We'll make a space on the club stand. Price your items so if you wander off, one of the other members can sort out buyers & cash.
3. Meeting to drive in convoy: I think the plan so far is to meet at J23 the Dunball junction of the M5 (the up-hill layby on the Puriton side of the roundabout). We'll be meeting there at 8am becuase we need to get to Castle Combe at a sensible time to find our club stand space and get the gazebo & stand equipment up.
I'd imagine we'll probably meet Terry & Sara a bit further up the motorway at the Sedgemoor Services (or similar) to save them driving down to meet us from WSM.

have you got any spare tickets

Sara - 1 admission ticket is for 1car+driver. So yes your ticket will cover you in your car, and Terry's ticket will cover him in his. If you bring the MG/other car up, we may be tight for space to park it on the club stand itself (we have a lot of Minis to put on display!) but we normally find a spot nearby to put 'normal' cars/trailers. Andy - Ian Wyatt has asked the same question! At the moment I have not heard of anyone who ordered tickets/passes is going to pull out, but if they do I'll let you know. I believe the admission price on the day is £10 per adult.

Dave Sapp has emailed to let us know he can't make it.
Ian Wyatt asked for a spare ticket (at the MU meeting on Monday night) so its fair he gets first chance. If another one is available, Andy was the next to ask.
There is one spare track pass now, at the discounted rate of £17. I think they are £25 or £30 on the day so now is your chance to grab a bargain opportunity.

Caz (Andy M's friend with the Mini30) has said he'd like the spare track pass please. But he'll have to pay normal admission price to get in.
Graham & Amy (red/white Flame) would also like to come up with us. At the moment they'll pay normal admission too, but are next on the list after Andy McP if any spare are available.
