Andy Muff has volunteered to lead us on a run over Yeovil way on Monday night. He's intending to take us via some back roads in the Ilminster direction, then along the old A303 towards Yeovil, and at Stoke Sub Hamdon he's going to head up to the pub at the top of Ham Hill . He suggests that if we meet at about 8.00pm with the intention of leaving the Blackbrook car park at 8.30pm so we can travel over in the remaining daylight. We'll leave some directions at the pub, or maybe on a parked up Mini, in case anyone turns up a little later. Link to a Map of the Prince of Wales Pub at Ham Hill

And for those of you with r/c cars, Ham Hill is an absolutely excellent place for running them !!
I will be bringing my Baja buggy along.

I have not been up to Ham Hill for ages but spent a load of my wild youth up there with the girls.
Prince of Wales always used to be a great pub its a shame we cant all sit up there and get P****d.
Yes I know that I had far too much at the Bristol Show but isn't that what beer is for.
Will see you all there

Andy did an admirable job of organising the run. But we made an admirable job of mucking it up for him! ;D I counted a total of 17 Minis, plus we spotted Neil driving Derrick past us in Langport. Met up at the Blackbrook: Tom's Mini was sporting a new paintjob. Very patriotic for the footy! Mikey was sporting GORGEOUS new Compomotive 13" wheels in LittleBill Adam is unfortunately selling his lovely green Min Off we race up the A358, abley helped by Jamie who blocked off the Blackbrook exit by planting the Passat in oncoming traffic. Make way for the Minis! So then Dave Bartlett remembers he is driving on fumes, so we stop at a garage. And panic because its shut. Never fear! There's another one up the road. Mini chaos exiting garage... To the next petrol station. "Which pump are you at?" "Its the one with the Mini..." Dave's Funbuggy has prototype side pod storage. It didn't stop him from driving offroad later... So we drove UP Ham Hill And then we caused mayhem with the traffic by driving DOWN Ham Hill The reason why this photo is so dark is because the pub has no lights on. It was shut! Denied! So we shocked the landlord by an impromtu arrival at the Fleur de Lys down the road. We need a drink now! ;D

Suzy,
That a good shot of my car you have got in the above photos.
I have copied this file to my folder but the resolution seems to have suffered. I know that photobucket or similar reduces the resolution (size) of these files. Have you still got the original file and could you please email it to me at mikeysredmini@aol.com when you get a chance. Seems to have come out better than my own. Must be a far better camera.
I had a laugh on Monday although i have found out that Bills Arse end needs to be stiffened slightly (grounding the rear arches)
Mike
