Considering it needs stripping and rebuilding, how much would you want for it?

probably only needs a piston ring. hardly a whole rebuild.

Despite the gearbox having to come off to gain access to the big end to un-bolt the con rod, and then the head has to come off to draw the piston out from .

Despite the gearbox having to come off to gain access to the big end to un-bolt the con rod, and then the head has to come off to draw the piston out from . not like thats really that hard to do though is it come on the headgasket takes about 1hr to do in the dark (i know i did it in picth black with a torch in my mouth) so 20 mins to take the head off gearbox and flywheel housing 45 mins max so 3 hrs max to do the lot i'm not going give it away just because of that if i get to much hassle i'll do it myself and sell the engine whole or strip it down for parts sell it that way

found this on another site someone is selling a engine about the same as mine but with big ends gone and crank needed reground and he's was asking £700 mines less money needed to fix it if i had the time to do it before it got 2 late for me to work on it i would do it myself and sell it whole OK, the clearout continues - so for sale is the following:
Minisport 1293 engine, complete with pistons (all in good nick) and crank. however, crank will need regrinding and requires new shell bearings. MiniSport 1.3 Stage 3 head, complete with valves (37mm Inlet, 29mm exhaust), Double springs and standard rockers MiniSport Gearbox - with 3:44 diff - all gears in excellent condition the flywheel, duplex timing chain and a brand new waterpum are included
this engine in kit form without the gearbox from minisport is currently £1075.05 (+ £127.66 surcharge for old engine) in fully built form with gearbox it is £1425.06 (+ £127.66 surcharge for old engine)
I had 96bhp at the flywheel when it was run in and that was without having it fully set up on the Rolling Road!
£700ono
no sensible offer refused Would split for sensible offerslink to sale

i'm asking about £600 for the complete engine
the head would cost about £400 on its own new rockers £160 dizzy and coil £168.86(i looked at the receipt from aldon) billet cam kit £200(non reground cam) thats without the rest of the engine box manifolds etc
the whole lot would cost you around £1600 new and its done about 6500miles from new the bearings clutch and crank have done about 5500 as i made a slight feck up the first time the engine was put together and didn't do the flywheel up enough oops
no other damaged was done to the enigne but my old crank taper was screwed up
