As title states, good working order with no fuel mixture problems, preferably with the elbow joint for standard air box, but can live without it if necessary. Prices on the Ebay tat bazare range from £5 to £200 so im really open to prices on this. Thanks folks

An HIF44 is way too big for a standard 998.
What is wrong with the one on Cyril ? Waxstat gone phut ?

its just ka-phuffed I think - the idle screw isnt even working wont run above 50 either without what sounds like engine/carb flooding.

If the idle screw isn't doing anything, check that the choke and throttle cables are attached properly and that the fast running screw on the choke mech isn't engaged.

I think the troubles with Cyril have been sorted, and were not a lot to do with the carb.

hmm beg to differ...mixture was apparently off in the mountains, new air filter, fuel wasnt getting to the engine when under demand... sods law mind...£80 spent and now cyril is SORN pending my bro passing his driving test!
