I finally got to meet Alex and Suzy at the mini 50 in Tenn. Great people! I had a blast at my first mini meet, and hope to see them again in the future. Ron J.

Hi Ron, It was great to meet you in person at Mini50/Smokies too! Hey guys - Ron is the guy who prints Dean's Dooderopolis T-shirts. I got one of the new hoodies (as seen in the mags) and it is g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s . Oh and Ron is gorgeous too obviously... LOL

Dooder made me a fabulous pink hoody. He's forbidden to make another pink hoody for anyone else. I have the limited one and only addition .

Hi from Iain in Vancouver. Hope all is most and fluffy with you guys: wondering if you were going to be over here for East Meets West? There doesn't seem to be much of a buzz about it. If you are, please bring me a pot of rimming salt, as I've run out.
Cheers, Iain

Wotcha Iain ! I did wonder if it was you when I approved the account - I don't think you're 13 though...
Not going to EMW, the guy at Bethel last year did such a piss-poor job of selling the show that we were dubious from the outset. The inclusion of the Binis 9th birthday celebration (big whoopee) was the clincher...
I'll ask Hugh if he can rustle up some rimming salt for you - I'm sure the image of him approaching you with it will linger for a while !

Hi Iain, lovely to hear from you, and it was great to meet Mrs Iain. Sorry we won't see you at EMW, money only stretches so far and we decided the IMM would be our summer Mini break.
The CMU Mini 50 Party in the Smokies was a cracking good event. It seemed to go so quickly! Have you seen the discussion topics on MiniMania? Its raised the bar for fun shows and hopefully other organisers can use some of the ideas.
For those of you don't know him, Iain has written a lot of the recent international articles for MiniWorld; an Eglishman defected to Canada, with access to some terrific USA Mini stories.

Iain,
Good to see you in TN!
I ended up w/your "gift" of rimming salt from last MME - have no use for it, so am happy to gift it back to you if you REALLY want it. ;D
Cheers,
Jim

We've decided to go ahead and make the trip to Minnesota after all.
I couldn't go to the end of the year without one more mini event for dooderwear.
Lots of folks I need to meet up in that part of the world.

I've finally found a reason I want to go !! Marcel Chichak (Chichm) is holding a distributor masterclass - his suggestion & idea, not the organisers it has to be pointed out - and there isn't a lot he doesn't know about them. The fact that he designed & developed the 123 dizzy should be enough to ensure a throng.

Meeting Marcel & seeing him in action would be great; however (& please excuse the snark): once the organizers find out about it they'll probably charge for the demo. (Was that too mean?)
Also - Dooder's hoodies rock (tho' mine is put away for the summer - no need for it in 100 degree heat & 98 % humidity).

Where's Iain located? Does Rimming Salt weigh as much as a box of soup? Always glad to help out when I can.
