OMG! What a turn out last night! I was so over whelmed! What a happy evening ;D.
To the two ladies who sat opposite us, Sorry I'm terrible with names, ( Caroline? Jan? Angela??) takes me a few times of meeting people for names to sink in. We didn't get much chance for a chat. But good luck with your mini.
And you got to come Back soon, It's bugging me, what your name are. And Jamie, don't say it.......Its an age thing. I KNOW!

Tigger's front and rear lights failed badly at the pub car park. We limped home, me driving Tigger and Alex with the Jazz. The heater, indicators and wipers packed up during the journey, and I was left with a single flickering main beam.

This morning we found the problem; his battery has split and leaked. Luckily the acid hasn't damaged his boot floor too badly, but our new block paved driveway... well lets just say bricks can melt... I don't know if his alternator and wiring have suffered yet.

Soz couldn't make it Suzy and Alex, was still in horse-piddle with Sam.
Looks like i'm not going to break the record (this time round) as they are going to induce her on Thursday, so we'll be at the next meeting anyway.

orange mini. belongs to munky. He gave Mary a lift back to Langport. I think Mary is still catching flies he he he!

Suzy - are you sure that the battery didn't split AFTER a short circuit took place in the electrics (loom/fusebox/summit else)?

I've boiled the battery on Tubbs a couple of times after the alternator regulator has failed - luckily with the battery under the back seat inside the car I have smelt it and disconnected the alternator before any much damage was done.
I suspect that something has gone amiss with the regulating system leading to the alternator putting out full current, and the non-vented battery has split under the hydrogen pressure build up as it boiled...

Hi Cap'n Jack - didn't get to chat to you - actually, not sure which one you were , only my second meeting, last one was 8 or 9 months ago , didn't know many people but had a good evening and a good chat to the people next to me - say hello next meeting (assuming I make it ;D) I'm the older bearded guy with the kit car (other older beaded guy doesn't have a kit car - am I rambling yet?)

Sorry, Captainjack, you felt like a spare part, I did not know you were a new member. we did ask Suzy who you were when you walked out?
I only joined last year myself, with a Hayman and Oli and i must admit i felt the same for the the first couple of months. I see new faces all the time but I dont know if they are new or old members, and the time goes so quick you don't get chance to talk to everyone.
May I suggest that if we do have new members, in the future, that they are made welcome, by being introduced to everybody?

It was actually Mary, oli's girlfriend that made the comment. I didn't catch everything that Suzy said, but i picked up your name is Jack and you are a new member.
Sorry jamie was giving me grief all evening, about my age . Im one of the oldest members but acts the youngest........
I joined last May with my work mates, Oli and Hayman. Oli sometimes brings his girlfriend Mary and his friend Ronnie, who is a VW fan but loves our company.
I sometimes come long with my hubby Alan, but usually with my mate Hayman who likes to be called Herm.
Herm got his mate Munky to come a long Monday he has an orange mini and very loud. The poor lad found me scary but i convinced him to join the club he he he...
