Thought it would be nice to mention contact from potential new members / email enquiries about the club.
We've recieved an email this week from Mike in Bridgwater, who is keen to come along. His Mini is called 'Lil Bill' (christened by his wife ) It sounds like he's got a good project car; lets hope to see it soon!

Its great to hear from a fellow mini enthusiast. Please be assured that i will be joining the club if that's OK. I would love to be able to have Lil Bill on the road for the 17th April but sadly he has to have a new clutch and this is scheduled for the 18th April so i miss out there.
I will mail a few pics of my car as soon as possible. The sun is out today and I will be doing a few finishing jobs for the dreaded MOT due on may 10th, not that I think there will be any problems unless they decide to fail the favorite rear subframe. Not to worry though as I have another one waiting just in case.
My car started life as a City E but does not really resemble that now. The previous owner finished the car in Ferrari red with a white roof and fitted a fairly good interior with forzas, 6 clock dash etc. Ant to boot added a standard 1300 metro engine. I have added a pucker stage four equivalent GT14/GT15 cylinder head, ignitor system and sport ignition leads and coil and uprated the brakes to metro turbo four pots allowing me to stop the now 85bhp at the wheels. With a couple of tweeks to the suspension by way of shocks and ties bars the handling has improved slightly, but I am in search of more.
Future plans for Bill include a complete coil over suspension setup with beam axel and possibly a KAD rear disc conversion along with a nitrous shot just for a laugh, but that will have to wait a few months until my funds allow. The next work i will be doing is to tidy up a few of the usual rust spots and treat the car to some new carpets and door chequer cards with chequer roof graphic, fit my quickshift and fit my 5 dial monster tach and change a few of the gauges for more useful items like oil temp and vacuum gauge.
